Ingredients
Yin
Yang Huo-Herba Epimedii
Tonifies the Kidneys and fortifies the Yang and
Tonifies the Yin as well as harnesses ascending Liver
Yang. It is used for Deficient Kidney Yang patterns
with symptoms as impotence, spermatorrhea, frequent
urination, forgetfulness, withdrawal, and painful cold
lower back and knees. It is acrid, sweet, warm and enters
the Liver and Kidney Channels.
Shan
Yao-Radix Dioscoreae Oppositae
This Chinese Yam Root is a tonic herb that benefits
the Spleen and Stomach, but in this formula it is used
because of the way it benefits the connection between
the Lung and the Kidney. It is moistening and neither
hot nor cold which is useful in a strong Yang Tonic
to benefit both Yin and Yang primarily of the Lungs
and Kidney. It is sweet, neutral and enters the Spleen,
Lung and Kidney Channels.
Ren
Shen- Radix Ginseng (red).
This is one of the most powerful herbs in Chinese
Medicine with a long list of uses. In this formula it
is used to structure and tonify Original Qi or to rehabilitate
the slightest sign of collapsed Qi. It effects all bodily
functions with intent and only a substantial book could
give it the entitlement it deserves. It is sweet, slightly
bitter, warm and enters the Spleen and Lung Channels.
Shan
Zha-Fructus Crataegi
Shan Zha in Chinese Medicine is mostly used as a
Spleen and Stomach tonic. It is a good idea to support
these energy systems when tonifing the Kidney as the
Spleen and Stomach next to the breath is our basis means
of inducing Qi through food and drink. This herb also
has the ability to establish some degree of systemic
vasodilation which can control constraint caused by
driving the Kidney Yang. It is sour, sweet, slightly
warm and enters the Spleen, Stomach and Liver Channels.

Si Zi-Semen Cuscutae
Another active herb when it comes to tonifing the
Kidney and benefiting the Essence. It establishes a
good connection between the Spleen and Kidney and is
used for Deficient Kidney Yang patterns with such symptoms
as impotence, nocturnal emission, premature ejaculation,
tinnitus, frequent urination, and a sore painful back.
It supports Deficient Essence by addressing patterns
of Deficient Liver and Kidney Yin and Yang. It is acrid,
sweet, neutral and enters the Liver and Kidney Channels.
Fu
Pen Zi-Fructus Rubi
This herb stabilizes the Kidney and restrains the
Essence. It is used for impotence, spermatoohea, premature
ejaculation, and wet dreams in Deficient Kidney Yang
patterns. It is sweet, astringent, slightly warm, and
enters the Liver and Kidney Channels.
Wu
Wei Zi-Fructus Schisandrae
This herb restrains the Essence and stops diarrhea.
It is used for nocturnal emission, spermatorrhea, and
frequent urination caused by Deficient Kidneys. It stops
sweating (night sweets) and calms the Spirit as in forgetfulness
and insomnia.
It is sour, warm and enters the Lung and Kidney.
Gou
Qi Zi-Fructus Chinensis
Nourishes and tonifies the Liver and Kidney as in
Deficient Yin and Blood patterns with sore back and
legs, low-grade abdominal pain, impotence, nocturnal
emission, and Wasting and Thirsting syndrome and Consumption.
It benefits the Essence and brightens the eyes as in
dizziness, blurred vision and decreased visual acuity.
It is sweet, neutral and enters the Liver and Kidney
Channels.
Ge
Jie-Gekko Extract
Benefits the Kidney and tonifies the Lungs where
the Kidney is unable to grasp the Qi. Tonifies the Kidney
Yang and is used for impotence, daybreak diarrhea, and
urinary frequency. It is salty, neutral and enters the
Lung and Kidney Channels.
